Why You Need Hotend Combo
H2C includes the essential hotend configuration for multi-color, multi-material printing.
To fully unlock its Vortek System and maintain consistent print performance across different nozzle sizes, having matched combo of standard and induction hotends is crucial.

The Hotend Combo gives you:
0.4 mm Induction hardened Steel Nozzle ×3 – More slots for multi-color switching without frequent nozzle changes
0.2 mm stainless steel nozzle ×1 – Perfect for ultra-fine details and high-precision parts
0.6 mm hardened steel nozzle ×1 – Ideal for faster prints and functional applications
With these additions, your printer can:
Simultaneously print up to 7 filaments using 0.4 mm hotends without purging
Perform dual-hotend printing in 0.2 / 0.6 mm, not just 0.4 mm
Maintain perfect size matching between standard & induction hotends
Assign each of the six induction hotends to specific filament, storing filament info automatically for seamless reloads — perfect for high-value engineering filaments
Pair with the AMS system to print up to 24 materials simultaneously, with smart material-to-hotend matching to minimize purging while enabling complex color and material combinations
This Combo completes your printer' s full capability range — exactly as the Vortek System was designed to perform.
Filament Compatibility
Learn more about filament compatibility on Bambu Lab Wiki.
1. If you print only single-color filament, we recommend using the Fixed Hotend (Induction Hotend) for printing.
2. If you need multi-color printing with the AMS, connect the AMS to the right-side Fixed Hotend.
3. If you want to use the second hotend for support-material printing, we recommend using the Liftable Hotend.
4. TPU85A is only supported on the right-side Fixed Hotend. TPU95AHF/90A is expected to be supported on the left-side Liftable Hotend starting from firmware version U2.
5. PET-CF / PPA-CF / PPS-CF are supported only on the left-side Liftable Hotend.
6. CF/GF-reinforced filaments are not compatible with stainless steel nozzles.
