ELEGOO Neptune 4/Pro/Plus/Max Fully Assemble Dual-Gear Direct Drive Extruder

DIRECT EXTRUDER|DUAL-GEAR
3:1 reduction ratio SU5303 stainless steel

Fully assembled extruder for Neptune 4:

New self-developed dual-gear direct drive extruder with a 5.2:1 reduction ratio ensures powerful extrusion and smoother filament feeding. Paired with copper-titanium all-metal throat pipe and unique air duct design to effectively improve the heat dissipation of the throat pipe and reduce nozzle blockage risk.

Fully assembled extruder for Neptune 4 Plus and Neptune 4 Max:

All-titanium alloy throat pipe enables fast heat dissipation and reduces nozzle clogging.

60W high-power ceramic heating element and brass heating block provide efficient and uniform heating for quick filament melting even during high-speed printing.

The Neptune 3 and Neptune 4 series hotend nozzles can withstand temperatures up to 300°C, making it capable of printing PLA, TPU, PETG, ABS, and high-temp filament Nylon, Nylon-CF, etc.

The automatic calibration of nozzle PID parameters optimizes nozzle thermal performance and temperature control, ensuring consistent and reliable printing results.

Frequently asked questions

Elegoo Neptune 4 Max allows you to print at much faster speeds than the older Neptune 3 Max. This machine can go up to 500mm/s. However, in reality, you're unlikely to ever print that fast while maintaining good quality. Printing at such high speeds might be suitable for quick prototypes, but typically you'll be printing somewhere between 150-300mm/s. This is still significantly faster compared to older iterations, where printing speeds were around 50-80mm/s. Despite the speed increase, the printer retains a lot of the quality you'd expect from FDM 3D printers.

The Elegoo Neptune 4 Max has a maximum bed temperature of only 85°C, which may not be sufficient for printing filaments that require a heated bed temperature of 100°C or higher, such as nylon. Despite the limitations, the nozzle can reach up to 300°C.
Therefore, while the Neptune 4 Max may not be ideally suited for printing nylon due to its limited bed temperature, it is still possible to print functional parts with proper filament preparation and adjustments to settings.

Drying might be necessary for a perfect result. After drying the Nylon filament for over 2 hours in filament dryer, you could have satisify overall quality.

The Neptune 3 and Neptune 4 series hotend nozzles can withstand temperatures up to 300°C, making it capable of printing PLA, TPU, PETG, ABS, and high-temp filament Nylon, Nylon-CF, etc.

Both Neptune 4 Plus and Neptune Max feature a 320watt heating bed that heats up to 110 °C in just a short time. While the Neptune 4 and Neptune 4 Pro feature a 250watt heating bed, which can quickly heat up to 110°C, reducing wait times and enabling efficient printing across a wide range of materials.

The original nozzle of Neptune 4 Max is the same with Neptune Plus, of 22.5mm length brass 0.4mm nozzle.

MAX. NOZZLE TEMPERATURE: 300 °C

With an extended nozzle length of 22.5mm, the brass nozzle is optimized for high-speed printing. This feature ensures fast filament flow, enabling you to achieve stunning high speeds of printing without compromising on print quality.
